The first in a ten-part children's book series that recounts some of Korea's most cherished classic folk tales, "The Woodcutter and the Heavenly Maiden" tells the story of a woodcutter who, longing for his fairy maiden wife and children in heaven, attemps to find them in the skies above. "The Firedogs" centers around a firedog that embarks on a quest to bring back the sun and moon so that the kingdom will have light once again.

선녀와 나무꾼: 하늘로 올라간 아이들과 선녀 부인을 그리워하며 그들을 따라가고 싶어하는 나무꾼의 이야기.
불개: 해와 달이 없는 까막나라 임금님이 불개들을 시켜 해와 달을 물어 오라고 하면서 펼쳐지는 이야기.

D. Vorhees and M. Mueller were a exchange professor of Seoul National University in Korea. During his stay in Korea, he wrote several children books for the foreign children who want to know about Korea and its culture. They are now going back to their country, the United States.
