Starting September this year, Hollym's authors, who have devoted to introduce Korean culture to the world, will give lectures on Korean culture, history, art, life and people to members of Seoul International Women's Association (SIWA) once a month. The aim of this program is to bring Korean writers closer to their audience providing them with a deeper understanding of the many unique aspects of Korea. All talks aim to be accessible not only to the SIWA members but also non-SIWA members who are interested in learning about Korea and its culture. Each lecture will be followed by a question-answer session and a book signing.

Description: Panmunjom is where the armistice was signed ending the Korean War in the 1950's.
Today it is the venue for meetings between North and South Korea as they continue to deliberate on political, economic and military issues to maintain and promote peace in the Korean Peninsula. "Panmunjom – Facts about the Korean DMZ" captures the significance and atmosphere of Panmunjom and delves into the history of partition of the Korea peninsula, with insights into the Panmunjom Axe Murder Incident.
 
Wayne A. Kirkbride is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1972 and has served in the 101st Airborne Division, the 2nd Infantry Division, 5th Special Forces, 82nd Airborne Division. He authored two other books "North Korea's Undeclared War: 1953-" and "DMZ: A Story of the Panmunjom Axe Murder."
